Todowing

Todowing is an unofficial Chrome extension for Todoist. Todoist shows sub-tasks as flat rows in Today, Upcoming, Filter, Label and board views, so it is hard to see which task belongs to which parent. Todowing nests the full sub-task tree inline in those views, with each row's due date, priority and labels.

It runs in the Todoist web app on any Todoist plan. The free version needs no account and includes nested sub-tasks, completing and reopening sub-tasks from the list, up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task, seven color palettes with row spacing, section style and corner rounding options, and a text-size slider from 85% to 200%.

A one-time lifetime unlock costs $19.99 with no subscription. It adds unlimited sub-task rows, adding, renaming and reordering sub-tasks from the row, a focus timer with time estimates, filing a task under a parent in another project, a font picker with fifty Google Fonts, a notes pad, a hide-done toggle, and read-only Apple Calendar events in Today. Future upgrades are included, and refunds are available within 14 days.

Privacy: your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Tasks never pass through Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.
